How we structured financial liquidity and foreign currency account management in an international company

An international manufacturing and trading company conducting sales in numerous foreign markets. The global scale of operations generates constant turnover in various currencies, handled through several foreign currency accounts, while simultaneously managing thousands of open receivables and payables with diverse payment terms.

Business Challenge:
Conscious cash allocation and time pressure during currency conversions

Daily working capital management required precise control over the currency structure. The company regularly faced financial asymmetry: large cash surpluses accumulated in EUR accounts, while USD accounts periodically experienced cash shortages.

Transferring funds between accounts and planning conversions occurred with limited transparency, as there was no tool to manage liquidity in each currency separately and to proactively reconcile balances with upcoming liabilities. As a result, decisions on currency purchases were made under time pressure. Instead of actively seeking market opportunities, the company often had to make ‘last-minute’ currency conversions, accepting the rates and conditions currently offered by the market.

Resivo Solution:
Systemic linking of balances with payment horizons

Our team streamlined this process by implementing a dedicated analytical tool:

  • Breakdown by currencies and horizons: We combined data from several foreign currency accounts with current and future receivables and payables, broken down by specific currencies.

  • Precise liquidity report: We implemented a system that clearly shows on a single screen how long the company can safely operate on current funds, and when and in which currency a real cash need will arise.

Result

Thanks to the implementation of Resivo solutions, the company gained full transparency of financial processes. Management now has a unified, reliable real-time view of the financial and operational situation.

Full control over currency structure

The company gained the ability to manage liquidity in each currency separately, allowing for efficient control of the relationship between EUR surpluses and USD shortages.

Transition to market opportunities

Thanks to advance information on cash needs, the company no longer makes currency conversions under time pressure. The financial team can now consciously wait for favorable market moments and purchase currencies at the most advantageous rates.

Operational security

A full overview of the financial situation from a single screen completely eliminates the risk of downtime and ensures full stability of current operations.

Does your company keep up with current accounting without a hitch, or is month-end closing still a frantic race against time? Can you determine in two minutes the exact status and location of the last invoice from a key supplier?
